I don’t know about you but some people in my life are notoriously hard to buy gifts for. They either buy what they want already, say they don’t need anything or have super niche interests that I don’t feel at all qualified to buy for. Edible treats can be a good bet but then every other person has an intolerance these days or bath goodies may pop to mind but you can’t presume everyone has bath, particularly in London (we didn’t used to sob, sob). One thing that I always find is a fail safe idea whether I’m buying for a tricky pal or someone I don’t know all that well, is a candle. You really can’t go too far wrong with a lovely scented candle or three and whilst I have many I always end up burning them so I know I’m personally very happy to receive more.
The new Elevation collection from Yankee Candle is a perfect candle to choose as they’ve updated the design of the container with a new shape, as well as a rose gold lid that can then be used as a stand when the candle is burning. It feels a bit more special to wrap up and give as a gift. You might have to put a bit of time into deciding what scent your friend would like best but there’s a sterling selection to choose from including scents like ‘Ameretto Apple’, ‘Frosted Fur’, ‘Harvest Walk’, ‘Pear & Tea Leaf’, ‘Sheer Linen’ and the list goes on.
In the spirit of gift giving, why not make each candle look super special by adding one of my free printable gift tags, handmade with love, along with a flower and sprig of foliage. Tie it all together with some string or twine and there you have a perfect little gift, admittedly more for the females in your life but I don’t judge.
Download the gift tags here and print onto card, cut out and punch a hole at the top to thread through the twine. I’ve already gifted these three beauties to friends for them to enjoy in their homes. Share the love with Yankee Candle!
